Day 1 - 2 – Kalpitiya

Perfect beaches and dolphins is what Kalpitiya has on offer. It has gained repute as a hot spot for dolphin sightings. It is the perfect introduction to Sri Lanka as it combines two great activities in one destination.

Day 3 - 4 Anuradhapura

To catch a true glimpse of the splendour of ancient Sri Lanka, Anuradhapura is a historic capital city that must be visited, with its royal palaces, incredible monuments and stupas to well laid out walking paths and bathing pools. Anuradhapura’s appeal is its ancient beauty set amidst a modern world. It was a developed, rich agricultural civilization that is a proud part of Sri Lanka’s history.

Day 5 - 6 – Kandy

Kandy is one of the most beautiful cities in Sri Lanka with ‘Kandyans’ having a fierce pride regarding their home city. Surrounded by beautiful mountain ranges Kandy is home to the revered Dalada Maligawa which is home to the sacred Tooth Relic. Kandy is popular for arts and crafts and in August hosts the spectacular Kandy Esala Perehara, which people travel the world over to witness. You can also enjoy a visit to the Peradeniya Botanical gardens and take in a cultural show. En route if you like you can stop at the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage to feed the baby elephants.

Day 7 – Nuwara Eliya

Be amazed at the change in the landscape as the majestic mountains and lush vegetation as you visit Sri Lanka’s hill country. Do the picturesque trek to World’s End in the lush Horton Plains. Get close to a waterfall and feel the cool and pure spray on your face. Try your hand at tea plucking!

Days 8 - 9 – South Beach

A true paradise holiday has beach time and that is what you get. Two blissful days and sun, sand and surf as you are pampered, Sri Lankan style. You can visit a turtle hatchery or visit mangroves. Try your hand at some water sports. Best of all though is the relaxing, sea bathing and seafood sampling. This is what a holiday is about!

Day 10 – Colombo

Colombo is most often used as a centre point between destinations.  With Hayleys Tours you can enjoy this city’s Colonial heritage, sites and of course shopping!
