Welcome to Sri Lanka. After arriving at the Bandaranaike International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative of Hayleys Tours. You will be taken to your air-conditioned vehicle where you'll be transferred to the beautiful city of Kandy - situated at the midpoint of the central hill country. En route, you will stop at the Millennium Elephant Foundation where you will be spending time with the gentle giants. Take a chance to bathe, feed and take pictures of the adorable jumbos.

After breakfast, you'll be proceeding to enjoy the Kandy City Tour- witnessing the most exquisite places to visit in Kandy. Kandy is a wonderful city surrounded by hills, with a serene lake in the heart of the town, it is the site of the sacred “Temple of the Tooth” and the Royal Botanical Gardens – Asia’s best Orchid collections. Explore Kandy's colonial history with our tour guide, you'll be visiting the British Garrison Cemetery of Kandy, Peradeniya Botanical Garden, Kandy Gem Museum and enjoying a traditional dance performance.

No trip to Sri Lanka will be thriving and completed without visiting the hill country of Nuwara Eliya. Today, you will escape from the tropical climate of Kandy into the cooler climates of Nuwara Eliya. This journey will be passing several heart-stopping waterfalls that will award you with several photographs. Nuwara Eliya - the little "England" is surrounded by lush green tea plantations, misty forests and grassy hills and the breathtaking Nuwara Eliya waterfalls.

After breakfast, grab your jackets to explore the tea capped hill country, sprawling Botanical Gardens, visit a Tea Factory and many more beautiful places in Nuwara Eliya. Explore the Tea Estates and discover more about tea cultivation. Stroll around the hill country station while visiting the Nuwara Eliya Post Office which looks just like an old English post-office, and Lake Gregory - a great destination to relax and to experience boat rides and other fun-filled activities.

Today, you will be heading towards the sunshiny Bentota beach for your beach stay. En-route you will stop at the Mlesna tea centre to sip some fresh Ceylon tea and to catch a flash of the Devon Falls. “Devon” originates from an English coffee planter called Devon. This breathtaking waterfall is also known as the “Veil of the Valley” because of its extraordinary formation with an intense height of 97 meters. You'll also be getting a glimpse of the St Clair’s waterfalls, also known as the “Little Niagara of Sri Lanka” and is one of the widest and beautiful waterfalls in Sri Lanka.

Your last day in Sri Lanka will be spent at leisure at your beach resort, getting sun-kissed while enjoying the ambience of Bentota. You do have the option of arranging a Madu River Boat Ride. The water of the Madu River is peppered with little islands and the shores are all covered with dense mangrove forests that are home to dozens of incredible animal species.
