Follow the trail of the Ramayana legend and visit locations associated with this ancient epic. Find out where King Rama held Queen Sita captive, see a large Hanuman statue and many more sites that have a link to the great Ramayanaya.
Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative of Hayley’s Tours. Thereafter, you'll leave for the sacred city of Anuradhapura – a UNESCO-listed World Heritage Site.
En-route, you’ll visit Munneswaram Hindu temple in Chilaw.

After breakfast you will travel to Trincomalee to visit the famous Koneswaram temple - one of the iconic Ramayana related places in Sri Lanka. The temple was made in honour of God Shiva. Shiva is said to have power over the mountain of Holy Konam (Thiru – Holy; Konam- Name; Malai – Mountain) hence the name Thirukoneshwarar (Thiru-Kona-Eeshwarar).

After breakfast transfer to Kandy, optional stop at Sigiriya to explore the lion rock which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. En-route stop at the Sri Muthumariamman Thevasthanam temple complex where you can imagine yourself in the South of India at the sight of this colourful temple with incredible artwork in Matale while heading towards Kandy.
Settle in at your hotel and spend the evening at leisure.

After breakfast, explore ‘Little England’ Nuwara Eliya town and visit the Sita Amman Temple – believed to be the only temple in the world dedicated to Sita, King Rama’s wife, who was held captive by Ravana in that area. Sita is said to have prayed daily at the nearby river for Rama to rescue her.

After breakfast travel to the south coast via Kitulgala.
Kitulgala is named after the palms that abound in the area and is a great adventure destination, perfect for white water rafting.
After engaging in water sports, you'll head to Galle – a popular destination with many an Instagram-worthy spot.

After breakfast, it's time to explore the legendary Rhumassala Temple of the Unawatuna Bay.
The large Buddhist dagoba at the top of the hill, known as the peace pagoda, was built with the assistance of Japanese monks. Click a photo of the large statue of Hanuman and the majestic views across the Galle bay. Thereafter, you will head to Colombo where you can do some last minute shopping.

At the end of your Ramayana tour, as per your flight departure time, you will be leave for the airport to catch your flight back home. We wish you a safe flight.
