Arrival at Colombo International Airport: here, you will be warmly welcomed by a representative of Hayleys Tours. After the formalities at the airport you will be escorted to your air conditioned vehicle and you will be proceed to Habarana.

Your tour today will start early in the morning, you willbe visiting one of Sri Lanka’s most famous landmarks, the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. This enormous rock hill was formed from the magma of an old volcano.
On completion, you will continue to visit the ancient city of Anuradhapura. The sacred city of Anuradhapura has been nominated by the UNESCO as a World Heritage. The main reason for the historical city of Anuradhapura to become a sacred city was the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi.

After breakfast, you will be taken on a sightseeing tour to the ancient city of Polonnaruwa, a city with ruins of majestic palaces, king’s council halls, royal tubs and ruins of Buddhist shrines. Explore the grandest ruins and archaeological sites, with many UNESCO appeals.
Thereafter, you will drive to a village that lies lain around a reservoir located off the main Habarana road - Hiriwadunna. This is a typical countryside experience with bullock cart rides and rural vegetable cultivation.

After an early breakfast, visit the famous Dambulla Rock Cave Temple. The beautiful Royal Rock Temple complex sits about 160m above the road in the southern part of Dambulla.
Thereafter, you will be visiting the Matale Spice Gardens, in which Sri Lanka has always been renowned for its spices and the Alu Viharaya, which plays significant and important role in the Buddhist community.
On completion, proceed to Kandy and witness a cultural dance performance in the evening.

After breakfast, proceed to visit the Embekke Temple (Devalaya) situated 13km from the Kandy city, a Buddhist temple dates from the 14th century is situated in the village "Arathtana".
Thereafter proceed to Gadaladeniya, a temple inspired by Dravidian architecture and visit the Lankatilaka Temple, which has an unusual architectural design.
On completion, you will visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic also known as the Sri Dalada Maligawa. The golden-roofed Temple of the Sacred Tooth houses Sri Lanka’s most important Buddhist relic – a tooth of the Buddha.
Overnight stay at Kandy.
After an early breakfast, proceed to Mahiyanganaya en-route experiencing the Dambana Vedda village tour. The term “Wedda” translates to “people of the forests” and members of this indigenous community have been taking refuge in the Dambana forest for centuries. Learn more about their fascinating lifestyle of a forest dweller and how they have adapted to the changing times.
On completion, check in to the hotel and spend the day at leisure.

DAY 07: SORABORA LAKE EXPERIENCE
Early morning, you will proceed for the Sorabora lake experience with a lovely outdoor breakfast near the lake. Witness the dawn of a new day, as the sun rises over the horizon of the beautiful Sorabora Lake. Listen to the birds chirping away as you breathe in that fresh morning air and enjoy the true beauty of nature. You will be able to experience the activities such as traditional lake fishin, Sorabora lake boat ride, lake fish market at the edge of the Lake, cow milking and breakfast at Sorabora rock with live cooking.

After breakfast, you will proceed to Nuwara Eliya, set in the heart of tea-country is a beautiful town where the British succeeded in creating a replica of the English countryside, with homes in styles from Georgian to Queen Anne.
Thereafter, you will continue to do a sightseeing tour and you will visit the Seetha Amman Kovil, the only place of worship dedicated to Lady Sita, the virtuous wife of Lord Rama. The Ramayana is one of the largest ancient classics in world literature. It consists of nearly 24,000 verses, divided into 7 books.

Overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya.
After breakfast, proceed to Tissamaharama en-route visiting the Kataragama Temple which is one of those wonderful destinations where the most outlandish of legends becomes solid facts and magic floats in clouds of incense. Kataragama Festival draws thousands of pilgrims during the months of July and August. Apart from festival time, the town is busiest at weekends and on poya (full moon) days.

Overnight stay at Tissamaharama.
Today, you will leave on an early morning jeep safari game drive through the Yala National Park. Grab your cameras and activate your eagle eyes to witness the leopards, elephants, wild buffaloes, musk deer, mongoose, pangolins, macaques and jackals and much more animals residing in this parkland.
Thereafter, you will proceed to Galle and continue to do some sightseeing including the Galle Dutch Fort.
On completion, proceed to Negombo and spend the rest of the day at leisure.
Overnight stay at Negombo.
Today as per the flight details, will be transferred to the Colombo Airport via Express way to catch your flight back home accompanied with all the happy memories of the tropical isle; Sri Lanka once known as TAPROBANE.
